Somewhere Back in Time Tour DVD Confirmed!

Posted Monday 7th April 2008

After speculation that a concert DVD like Live After Death or Rock in Rio was going to be produced featuring Iron Maiden's 2008 World Tour, we today got confirmation that at least some of the material will be used in an upcoming video release as Kevin 'Caveman' Shirley confirmed that he was currently in the studio mixing live and studio tracks from the band to be included in the release.

Right now it looks like what will be produced is not a concert recording, but instead a documentary following the band on tour as they go on their travels (especially as the infamous Ed Force One jet flies fans around different locations, piloted by Bruce Dickinson) and backstage, and although it will obviously include live material, it is not yet known whether it will include a full live set or a number of different clips of concert tracks put together.

Somewhere Back in Time Western Canada Dates Sell Out

Posted Friday 4th April 2008

The Iron Maiden shows in Western Canada have now sold out every available ticket in each market in just four days. The band encourages any non-ticket holders to check back in a couple weeks and just before the show as production releases may become available when the stage has been set in each arena, check with your local box office or their official site (ironmaiden.com) for further updates. Even if some tickets may have to be stamped with a slightly restricted side view, fans will still be able to experience the incredible communal atmosphere of a Maiden concert.

For more information on seeing the band live this tour, visit out concert tickets page, where we list availability.

Merchandise Section added to Maiden-World

Posted Tuesday 1st April 2008

In our continuing quest to bring you all of the best and complete information on Iron Maiden, we have today launched our merchandise section, containing all of the information we can gather on items such as Iron Maiden T-Shirts. Of course as with every database, the 20 year history of the band makes having information on every single item produced and sold practically impossible to do by hand, but we will work hard over the coming months and years to build a large and somewhat concise database.

if you have any items that aren't currently listed in any of the sections or would like to suggest one we are missing, then simply head on over to the contact form and send us the information so we can get back to you after adding it to our lists. To find all of the latest additions, head on over to our new pages now.

EMI Japan post video preview of Maiden's Tokyo 2008 Concert

Posted Saturday 29th March 2008

Iron Maiden Tokyo 2008
EMI Japan, Iron Maiden's record label, have recently put up a streaming video of their 16th of February gig at the Messe in Tokyo. The video contains the intro to the concert (Doctor Doctor) and the first two tracks, it is also pro shot, but only from a single camera. It's also released pre-editing which means that it is yet to be mixed with other camera angles/shots, which has prompted speculation as to whether the full video of the concert will be made available as a professional release at a point in the future.

We at Maiden-World have saved the stream so you can download the video for yourself, especially in case the stream goes down or expires at any point, to do so simply click here and save the file to your computer.
